Ceska Spolecnost Sherlocka Holmese (Czech Society of Sherlock Holmes)

After a trial of Mr. Rudolf Cechura after the Prague Spring in 1968 cut off by the foreign armies invasion on 21st August 1968, the Czech Society was finally founded in 2000 by 3 members: Messrs. Rudolf Cechura, Ales Kolodrubec & Miroslav Kucera. Now – March 2002 – we have about 80 members aging from 4 to 80 and residing in Prague (40%), the rest of the Czech Republic as well as several of members from abroad. In December 2000 (with No. 0 of Volume I) we started to publish for our members a monthly newsletter (in Czech language) call Bohemian Newsletter. Since September 2001, besides other more formal events, we have informal monthly gatherings in Prague. In March 2002 Society’s website was launched.
