Laurent Joffrin – Editor in Chief of Le Nouvel Observateur (FR)

Laurent Joffrin is a French journalist and current Editor in Chief of Le Nouvel Observateur. Born in 1952, Joffrin studied History and Economy at the Sorbonne University in Paris. He worked at the Agence France Presse from 1978 to 1980, and went on to join reporters of French magazine Libération in 1981. It was in 1988 that he began working for Le Nouvel Observateur. He is also a regular contributor to French television and radio, especially on the France Inter and France 5 channels.

Joffrin has also published numerous historical and political works, as well as two novels, one of which was a crime story entitled L’Enigme de la rue Saint-Nicaise – Les Aventures de Donatien Lachance, détective de Napoléon, in 2010.
