Pierre Santini

Pierre Santini is a French actor and theatre director born in 1938. He became a household name thanks to his many appearances is films and television series such as Rocambole (1964), Un Juge, un Flic (1977), Les Cinq Dernières Minutes (1979), La Guérilla ou les Désastres de la guerre (1983), Saint-Exupéry, la dernière mission (1994), Navarro (2004) and Alice Nevers, le Juge est une femme (2010).

 

On the big screen, his best-known films are Paris brûle-t-il (Is Paris Burning?) (1965), L’Attentat (1972), Une Partie de plaisir (1974), and Le Genre humain (2004).

 

In 1975, Santini founded his own theatre company, as well as the Boucles de la Marne Theatre in 1983. In 2003, he was named Company Director of the Mouffetard Theatre in Paris. In 2010, he appeared in the musical Rendez-vous, and in 2011 appeared in Come Di.

Pierre Santini has been awarded the prestigeous French awards of Chevalier des Arts et Lettres, and of Chevalier de l’Ordre du Mérite.
