Marianne Epin

Marianne Epin is a French theatre, cinema and television actress. After training at the Conservatoire National Supérieur d’Art dramatique, she joined the Comédie Française from 1986 through 1991.

One of her best-known films is Yannick Bellon’s L’Amour violé. On television, she has appeared in many French series, including La Rivière Espérance (1995), Marie Humbert, le Secret d’une mère (2007), and Ni reprise, ni échangée (2010).

On stage, her work includes Racine’s Phèdre (1973), Voltaire’s Candide (1974) and Corneille’s L’Illusion Comique (2007). From 2008 through 2010, Epin appeared in the play Tous les Arabes sont des mécaniciens, which she directed.

Marianne Epin has won numerous French awards, including the Prix du Syndicat de la critique-Révélation Théâtrale de l’année in 1984, and the Prix Gérard Philippe in 1985.
