British actor, best known for his role as Dr. Watson in the initial series of Granada Television’s 1980′s The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes. David Burke trained at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. In the theatre he originated the part of Niels Bohr in Michael Frayn’s Copenhagen. Other notable TV appearances include his turn as Stalin in the British serial Reilly, Ace of Spies, and the John Wyndham story Random Quest.
