
Christian Rode is a German actor, born in Hamburg in 1936. In the 1960s, he began working not only in German productions, but also in International pictures. These include René Clément’s Paris brûle-t-il ? (Is Paris Burning?), and Angélique, with Michèle Mercier. His German television series include Detektivbüro Roth.
In 1966, Christopher Rode began working on voice-overs, and as such he has dubbed many internationally renowned actors such as Sir Michael Caine (The Battle of Britain), David Carradine (North and South), Rock Hudson (The Ambassador), Sir Derek Jacobi (Brother Cadfael), Jeremy Irons, DeForest Kelley (Star Trek II, The Wrath of Kan and Star Trek III, The Search for Spok), Christopher Lee (Sleepy Hollow), Peter O’Toole (Rosebud), Anthony Perkins (North Sea Hijack), Michel Piccoli (La Dernière Femme), Christopher Plummer (Triple Cross), Vincent Price (The Raven) and Omar Sherif (Ashanti).
In the 1970s, Christopher Rode began recording audio books. As such he became the Beast Man in the Master of the Universe series, but also Sherlock Holmes.
In 2007, Rode began teaching diction with his colleague carmen Molinar, as part of the Sprecherschule International Voice, in order to promote new and upcoming talent.
